KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Allen Krehbiel has red and gold in his blood.
The Pretty Prairie, Kansas, native now lives in Denver, but that hasn’t stopped him from rooting on the Kansas City Chiefs in his own way.
Krehbiel, also a musician, posted a parody of the Garth Brooks hit “Ain’t Goin’ Down Till the Sun Comes Up” on his Facebook page Wednesday.
“I can't tell you how nice it is to be able to raise the home-state flag this year without ridicule – and last season as well, for that matter,” Krehbiel told 41 Action News. “Plenty of Broncos fans jumpin' on the bandwagon with me for this run. Mahomes makes it an easy ‘second option’ for them for sure. He's such a champion on and off the field, and his performance makes these parodies pretty much write themselves.”
Krehbiel said that he is looking forward to creating another parody leading up to the Super Bowl.
Another musician, Blane Howard, wrote a song for the Chiefs as well. Howard currently lives in Nashville and apologize to the Titans fan in a tweet when he shared the song.
Hey #ChiefsKingdom here’s another song for this week’s AFC Championship! To all my Titans fans in Nashville, I still love you! @Chiefs @ChiefsReporter @kmbc pic.twitter.com/637sF0116e
