Chiefs fans can text for information on Wednesday's victory parade

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, officials said Chiefs fans heading to the big parade on Wednesday will be able to receive important information about the event through text messages.

The city's Emergency Operations Center created an AlertKC group for the Chiefs Kingdom Champions Parade. Those planning to attend can text CHIEFSPARADE to the number 888777 to join “and receive important information regarding the event.”

On Monday morning, the city had not released any details about a route for the parade, citing security concerns.

41 Action News will be the official broadcast partner for the parade, which is set for 11:30 a.m. in downtown Kansas City, and all events on Wednesday. Our live coverage will begin at 4:30 a.m.
