KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Changes due to COVID-19 are making it an unusual sight at Arrowhead on game day.
Pre-pandemic, the parking lot would be packed with Kansas City Chiefs fans on a Sunday morning. But this Sunday, it looked almost empty 30 minutes after the gates opened for the Chiefs-Jets game.
GO CHIEFS! This was taken at 8:30am. Still very weird to see how empty the parking lots are here at Arrowhead. @41actionnews #chiefskingdom pic.twitter.com/yBVQotRTne

The lack of fans is due to the 22% capacity limit inside the stadium, where masks must be work at all times.
And in the parking lot, tailgaters are spaced out from one another. But, there is no lack of fun when it comes to fans tailgating.
One fan parked right by the stadium said there is an upside to all the new pandemic rules.
"We used to park way out there and now I am 50 yards from the stadium. We got here early and not many people had gotten here this early. Good parking, I was happy with that," said Chiefs fan Jeff Gartner.
The Chiefs take on the Jets at noon.
