KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes visited the St. Mark Child and Family Development Center in Kansas City Wednesday.
He toured each classroom, visiting with children and teachers.
Mahomes also read the book, “Chocolate Milk, Por Favor,” to the kids.
"It really is cool. You dream about being an athlete whenever you're a little kid," Mahomes said, "and you look to those guys, and to see people look up to you and kinda see you in that same roll, it kinda gives you a chilling feeling that you have worked hard and gotten to this point and now you can help other kids achieve their dreams."
After reading, Mahomes participated in an art project and drank chocolate milk with students.
