KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Clay County will ease some of its restrictions on businesses and mass gatherings beginning on Tuesday.
Under the county health department’s updated emergency order, businesses will be able to allow up to 50% capacity. Gatherings such as weddings, funerals and religious services also will be able to take place with 50% of maximum occupancy in venues “provided physical distancing is maintained,” the revised order states.
Mass gatherings of up to 250 people will now be allowed, so long as there is social distancing, and public or neighborhood association pools will have a 50% capacity limit.
All other restrictions of the previous order remain in place. The order, which remains effective from 12:01 a.m. June 15 through 12:01 p.m. July 5, can be viewed on the Clay County Public Health Department website.
