KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Three finalists for the Jackson County Sheriff were announced Monday.
The finalists are:
- Rosilyn Allen, retired Kansas City Police Major
- Darryl Forte, retired Kansas City Police Chief
- Michael Rogers, Patrol Enforcement Captain Jackson County Sheriff’s Office
The search began after former Sheriff Mike Sharp submitted his resignation in April. His resignation came after details of his relationship with an employee became public in documents connected to a lawsuit involving that now former employee.
According to a news release, a nominating committee recommended the finalists to help Jackson County Executive Frank White, Jr. appoint a Jackson County Sheriff, who will serve the remainder of the year.
White will have private interviews with the finalists before making the final selection, which is expected in the coming days.
