Thursday Shopping List:
- Giant Multi-pack of toilet paper
- Golf Balls
- Wine
- $5,000 purse
- $20,000 diamond-studded watch
- Hot dog for a buck and a half
You can find all of those items at one place starting today, Thursday, May 18: Costco in the Northland.
After months of waiting, folks up north, especially those near 88th Street just off 152 Highway, are ready for the grand opening of this newest Costco experience.
The store is 156,000 square feet of shopping adventures.
There’s more to this place than just the size and variety, according to manager, Jeremy Hoffman.
It will also provide a couple hundred jobs, a positive economic impact for the area.
The aforementioned watch and purse are called “spice items” which will be around for these opening days.
But, the other goodies the things that always draw people in like the food values, paper products, samples in almost every aisle are here to stay.
There were almost 6,000 people at the preview event on Wednesday night, so, they know Thursday’s crowd will be keeping them hopping.
By the way, although the doors were opening early today, around 8:00 a.m….there was already a man sitting in a chair outside the doors at 6:00 a.m.
He was not there for the $20,000 watch. He was there for the golf balls.
