The KCFD battled a large house fire that broke out at 10900 Grandview Rd. in Kansas City, Missouri early Monday morning.

Officials say the flames started in the top floor of the two-story home around 2 a.m. A family of three was able to escape before their house became fully engulfed in flames.
Crews have determined the home is a total loss. The house fire continued to burn for over six hours.

KCFD used two aerial hoses to attack the flames from the outside. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
