KANSAS CITY, Mo. – About 25 developers from the Kansas City area toured the Northeast corridor Wednesday.

This was a first for the Northeast Chamber of Commerce.

“I believe now is the right time to be taking the tour around the world down Independence Avenue. Things are happening. Things are happening with the Paseo gateway and with the independence community district,” Chamber CEO Bobbi Baker-Hughes said.

Baker-Hughes says the goal is to show developers and investors spaces that are vacant.

“The Avenue, the Boulevard, Independence Boulevard, is on the rise and we want to share that with developers, investors and brokers to bring them in to see what possibilities they have to bring the community to the rise,” Baker-Hughes said.
