KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Starting Monday, Kansas City Police are working to increase parking enforcement downtown.
The department received $145,000 from the city to help with parking enforcement. That money was used to hire 10 more officers.
On Monday, you will see more warning tickets around town but the city says warnings will only be issued for a short period of time. After that, police will be issuing citations on a regular basis.
The city has also been working to make it easier to park. Motorists will start to see more online garage parking, mobile payment at meters and payments with apps.
