KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Olathe police arrested a man for driving under the influence after a vehicle hit the man's van and sent it barreling into a restaurant.
The crash happened about 7:30 p.m. and damaged the popular Old 56 Family Restaurant at 912 S. Chestnut Street.
Police said a vehicle hit the van in the side as it traveled north across West Old 56 Highway.
The van kept going and slammed into the front of the restaurant.
The driver of the car that hit the van was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, police said.
It's unknown at this time when the restaurant will reopen.
