Driver killed when fuel tanker overturns in Carroll County

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The driver of a fuel tanker was killed when the vehicle overturned in Carroll County, Missouri, Tuesday evening.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 5 p.m. on Highway E at Highway OO west of Carrollton.

Investigators said the tanker started to travel off the right side of the road and the driver overcorrected. The tanker went to the left shoulder and overturned.

The driver, 71-year-old Larry Edwards of Carrollton, was killed. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
