KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two drivers who were involved in a crash earlier this month in Overland Park that injured four elementary school students will be issued citations, according to police.
Officer John Lacy, of the Overland Park Police Department, said the citations will be issued Thursday.
Police Chief Frank Donchez posted video of the crash, which occurred Oct. 24, on Twitter last week.
The video showed a car, turning left at West 87th and Grant streets, being hit by a vehicle going through a red light.
The car that ran the red light then hit four elementary-aged girls standing on the sidewalk, police said. The girls were on their way to Pawnee Elementary School.
