The Wiebusch family is struggling to fully accept what happened Tuesday night.
Just after 9:00 p.m., 22-year-old Zakkery Wiebusch was hanging out with some friends at Blue Valley Park when their remote-control boat stopped working in a pond. That's when he tried to swim out to get it and went under.
"He was loving and helping people meant a lot to him. I mean he risked his life to help his friend," Zakkery's sister Kaileigh said.
As they plan to lay him to rest, Kaileigh and her family want others to learn from the tragedy that led to his death.

"I just wish that he would've paid more attention to surroundings and maybe thought stuff through a little more before jumping in," she reflected. "He had a whole life to experience that he'll never have the chance to now. He was becoming such a beautiful person."
