It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s…it’s…it’s Ladies Night at Elite Comics!
Calling all Wonder Women and Supergirls and wannabes!
Friday night from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., at Elite Comics at 119th and Quivira, you are the super hero!
According to the owner, William Binderup, they want Elite to be the most woman-friendly comic book store in the world. He says, too often, shops like his seem to be the enclaves of men, only.
But, in this day and age, female artists and writers and fans are taking their long-deserved place.

Tonight, in addition to getting your nails done-superhero style and cranking out Karaoke, women will have the chance to help others in our town.
Elite Supergirl, AKA Jessica Porter, will be there to spread the word about her wonderful work with children and sell Eden’s Swag Rags, which are bandanas created by a girl named Eden who has battled cancer.
Rose Brooks is another charity being helped by tonight’s fun.
So, ditch the men in your life for the evening, grab a cape and soar on down to Elite Comics.
You just might save the world!
Thank you @aka_Supergirl for a Super Hero Morning and for all you do to make lives better and brighter! #ineedacape
