Lee's Summit cancels endangered silver advisory for missing woman

UPDATE, Oct. 1, 9 a.m. | Evelyn Bruce was found safe and is being evaluated at a hospital.

UPDATE, Oct. 1, 4:30 a.m. | The Lee's Summit Police Department said Friday investigators worked through the day to locate 63-year-old Evelyn Bruce, and she was seen on some business surveillance cameras.

The department released an updated photo of Bruce in the clothing she was last wearing, Bruce also had a pink coat with her.

She was last seen at 9:45 p.m. at a business near NE Ralph Powell and NE Woods Chapel Road.

ORIGINAL STORY, Sept. 30 | The Lee's Summit Police Department issued an endangered silver advisory for 63-year-old Evelyn Bruce Thursday.

Bruce was last seen around 8 p.m. Wednesday night in the 2200 block of NE Town Centre.

She has dementia, diabetes and epilepsy.

Police say she left on foot without her required medication.
