KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The popular English and Platte Landing parks in Platte County will close beginning Sunday because of rising waters on the Missouri River.
Both parks have flooded in the past.
English Landing Park in Parkville, Mo., is popular for its walking trail that runs parallel to the Missouri River.
The park also has picnic areas with shelters and several playgrounds.
