A family was forced to evacuate a home following a house fire Thursday morning at 3915 Arlington Avenue.
Two people and a dog evacuated, and no injuries have been reported.
The Kansas City Fire Department initially received the report of a fire around 5:18 a.m. The fire was under control by 5:38 a.m.
Firefighters said the fire started on the north side of the home, possibly in a garage that was renovated into a bedroom.
The cause of the fire is unknown, and fire investigators are on the scene.
