ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Saturday marked the eighth open practice of Chiefs training camp as well as Family Fun Day, which always brings out fans eager for an autograph from their favorite Chiefs player.
"Hope to get some stuff signed," Chiefs fan Wyatt Harris said.
"I'll be here tomorrow too so hopefully I can get some tomorrow," fellow Chiefs fan Nathaniel Brown added.
KC Wolf also was hanging out, signing hats and jerseys, posing for pictures and showing off his moves with some of the younger Chiefs fans.
"It's pretty fun to mess around with and I got a picture with him," Harris said.
Aside from taking pictures and signing autographs, kids and their families had plenty to do in the Chiefs Kids zone — inflatables, a rock climbing wall, and football drills.
Still, the fans agreed that the best part of Family Fun Day is watching the players on the field, especially Patrick Mahomes.
"Really curious to see what Patrick Mahomes is going to do for us," Broan said. "He has a strong arm. I think he's going to do great."
The excitement is building toward the Chiefs' preseason opener against the Houston Texans on Thursday at Arrowhead Stadium.
