KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One year ago today, Dylan Hill was shot inside his truck.

His family wants answers, which have been slow-coming.

Hill's wife, Taylor, said as far as she knows, there are no new leads in his case.

She said she believes someone lured him out to East 80th Terrace and James A. Reed Road. They don't know why he was in the area that day.

Police said Hill was shot while inside his truck, and it rolled to a stop near a light pole. That pole is now a makeshift memorial, decorated with pictures and a cross.

Neighbors heard gunshots and relayed that information to the police, which the family continues to hope will help.

Taylor Hill said someone knows something, and the family just wants them to come forward.

"If I could just get justice for my husband, for Dylan, that would put me in a spot, and his father, where we could actually start to begin the grieving process because I'm not even sure where you would start until these people are off the streets," said Hill.

Hill leaves behind two small children, who his wife said miss him every day.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 816-474-8477. There is a $26,000 reward.
