FBI investigating bank robbery in Prairie Village

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The search is on for a suspect wanted for robbing a bank in Prairie Village.

Police and the FBI were called out around 1 p.m. to the Great Southern Bank near 95th Street and Nall Avenue.

Police said the suspect gave the bank teller a note demanding money. The suspect then fled northbound on foot towards 94th Street with an undisclosed amount of money. He did not present a weapon.

He's described as a white man, 45 to 50 years old. He had a beard, was approximately 5'8" tall and heavy set. He was wearing a maroon stocking cap, black winter coat and black leather gloves.

Police say no one was injured.
