KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City, Missouri, Fire Department says five people were displaced in an overnight fire in the 3200 block of Independence Avenue in KCMO.
Firefighters were called to the scene just after 1:30 a.m.
The fire department says three people were rescued from the home.
According to the fire department, one person was taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
