KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Brenda Porter tried out for the Chiefs cheerleaders back in 1969.

"That was back when you had the big hair and everything," she said.

Her first season, the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl IV, beating the Minnesota Vikings 23-7.

"It still kind of gives me chills because everybody forgot about everything going on in the world except if the Chiefs were going to win," Brenda said.

She had a sideline seat to history.

Brenda also cheered the first season at Arrowhead Stadium.

She said she remembers thinking, "Oh my gosh, this is amazing. It's got a parking lot. It's got bathrooms."

Although her photos may be fading, the memories are still shining bright.

"Its always kind of been something special and I hope Kansas City gets to feel it again," Brenda said.
