Former Manhattan city attorney pleas guilty to child porn charges

WICHITA, Kan. -  The former city attorney of Manhattan, Kansas, now faces sentencing for federal charges after admitting to emailing himself child porn, per a Thursday release from the district attorney's office.

Bill Raymond, a 55-year-old man from Andover, Kansas, will go before a judge for sentencing November 6 after he pleaded guilty to three counts of transporting child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography. 

The release said the crimes occurred in Butler and Riley counties.

Raymond was an assistant county counselor in Sedgwick County before his time in Manhattan. 

He faces a minimum of five years in prison, plus fines of up to $250,000 for each count. The maximum prison sentence exceeds 20 years.
