OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - -Regional planners want your help to redesign and improve an Overland Park intersection.

The Mid-America Regional Council and RideKC will host three open houses beginning Tuesday to discuss the intersection of 75th Street and Metcalf Avenue.

This is part of the 75th and Metcalf Transit and Pedestrian Access Improvement Plan. The goal is to make the intersection more walkable for bus riders.

Three RideKC bus routes (401, 404, and 475) meet at the intersection. Each of the routes has seen a growing number of riders. Planners want riders to have safer options to cross the roads when they go to the bus stop and leave the bus for their next destination.

This week's three open houses all take place at Kansas Christian College, located at 7029 74th Street, Overland Park, Kan. during the following times:

There is no formal presentation. The public is welcome to stop by at anytime during the open house to talk with representatives to discuss concerns and solutions.
