KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Freezing fog Monday morning caused some slick spots on roads around the Kansas City area.
The lingering moisture in the air made bridges and overpasses a little icy, as those surfaces without the ground to keep them warm are the first to become slick in winter.
Heads up drivers! Freezing fog has developed around the area this morning & will result in slick surfaces, especially bridges and overpasses! We already have a few crashes out there this morning so please drive carefully! pic.twitter.com/Je4qv8Zopk

One such slick spot was on Interstate 70 in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, where the road curves near Benton Boulevard.
There was a multi-vehicle crash around 4 a.m. on I-70 westbound near 18th Street.
KCPD said a car spun out because the bridge was icy and was struck by multiple other vehicles. Injuries are unknown at this time.
Drivers should exercise caution when driving the curve on their morning commute.
No other problem spots were reported by law enforcement around the metro as of 5:30 a.m., but it is likely other elevated surfaces will have slick spots as well, so drivers should be careful.
