Country singer Garth Brooks announced Saturday that his organization would sponsor a new press box for the Kansas City MLB Urban Youth Academy.
Brooks made the announcement at the Academy on Saturday. As part of his world tour, Brooks is doing a "Teammates ProCamp," at each stop. They are led by various professional athletes and coaches. Participation is free for children selected to attend.

Three former Royals — Reggie Sanders, Jason Kendall and Jeff Suppan — and Royals General Manager Dayton Moore all attended the camp in Kansas City.
100 boys and girls from the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City, KCMO RBI, and Tickets for Kids Charities attended the event in Kansas City.
