With Skytracker providing a live picture from above Crown Center and Gary in the KSHB studio, he began a countdown for our viewers.
Gary made it to one, paused and thousands of lights flashed on.
That's doubly impressive because some years the lights came on when we were showing another story or a commercial.
Like the old saying, timing is everything.
