NORTH KANSAS CITY, Mo. — City crews installed a new gateway sign Saturday morning over Armour Road in North Kansas City.
The new archway sign, which reads "Welcome to North Kansas City" and cost $297,000, is part of the city's plan to revitalize the downtown.
It's also part of the rebranding of North Kansas City.
Several streets in the area were shut down for a short time as crews installed the new sign.
A previous version of this story had the project's price tag wrong.
