KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The American Heart Association's annual Go Red for Women luncheon will be held virtually this year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event is scheduled to take place at noon on Wednesday and will be emceed by 41 Action News anchor Dia Wall.

Go Red for Women was created to fight for better representation for women in medical research and equitable access to healthcare. Specifically, it aims to spread information about cardiovascular disease, the number one killer of women, according to the American Heart Association.

If you would like to register to attend the webinar, that link is available online.

The luncheon's auction will also be virtual this year and is available to bidders online.

KSHB has been a proud supporter and broadcast partner of the American Heart Associated and the Go Red for Women event for many years and is excited to take part in the online initiative.
