KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two teenagers didn’t take too kindly to being denied a chance to buy cigarettes early Friday morning.

Kansas City, Kansas Police are investigating after the two teens tried to buy cigarettes at a convenience store near 42nd Street and Shawnee Drive. The store’s clerk denied the transaction.

As the teens left the store, one pulled out a gun and opened fire into the store.

A good Samaritan who had been helping the clerk to get the teens to leave the store was hit in the leg by one of the bullets. The person was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
