A week after city officials signed off on a series of agreements, the Kansas City Aviation Department Thursday announced construction crews will break down on KCI’s new single-terminal project on March 25.
The groundbreaking, set for 2 p.m. outside of Terminal A’s parking structure, is the formal start of the $1.5 billion project that has been several years in the making.
Among the other steps expected to start soon: The demolition of Terminal A.
Representatives from the city, Edgemoor Infrastructure, airlines and community leaders are expected to attend the event.
