KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An early morning fire forced guests at the Days Inn in Liberty, Missouri, out of their rooms.
The call went out just before 5 a.m. for the hotel on 291 Highway. When firefighters arrived on scene, the roof of the hotel was on fire. Crews worked for quite a while to put out hot spots.
All guests were evacuated and made it out safely.
According to Liberty officials, 20 to 30 hotel guests were displaced in the fire.
There is no word yet on how the fire started, but the Missouri State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
