KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An 82-year-old Harrisonville, Missouri, woman died Saturday night in a two-vehicle wreck in southern Cass County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Doris M. Graef’s 2002 Saturn had stopped on southbound Interstate 49 near 307th St. for unknown reasons shortly before 7 p.m.
A 2014 Ford driven by Chris Davis overtook and struck Graef’s vehicle.
Graef was pronounced dead at the scene.
Davis, 33, suffered minor injuries, but Lauren Findley, 28, who was a passenger in Davis’ vehicle, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Davis and Findley are both from Archie, Missouri.
I-49 was shut down for several hours as investigators reconstructed the accident.
