KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Hickman Mills School District increased security measures Wednesday after social media threats.
The district received a social media threat at two district schools, according to a statement from the district.
The district said they’re unsure of the reliability of the information and are working with police on the investigation of the threats.

"Today the Hickman Mills C-1 School District received a social media threat at two district schools. At this time we unsure of the reliability of the information. Because the safety of our students and staff are of the utmost importance, we have increased security measures in the district and are working the police on the investigation. Currently, all schools remain calm and classes are taking place as normal."
