DraftKings brought its fantasy football draft to Arrowhead Stadium for a 4th year. This Labor Day, hundreds of players got the royal treatment as they stacked their rosters for the start of the 2016 NFL season.
Danny Moreno explained, "You draft a team each week and there's a salary cap and the stats accumulate and there's point totals associated with them and the person who has the most points at the end wins."
He's won $2 million on DraftKings and has an entire website dedicated to teaching players the tricks of the trade.
Each league had its own suite complete with, "Hot wings and pizza and, of course, some beer and some soda in there as well," Chiefs Director of Events Jeremy Slavens said.
Chiefs cheerleaders welcomed the fantasy players to the stadium, and general manager John Dorsey even went suite to suite sharing his tips.
"I know nothing about fantasy football. I know nothing," Dorsey confessed. "Follow the draft board. That's all I can say. Follow the draft board."
The champion of the "Pin Bowl" league opened the door to their draft for us. 2015 champ Dakota Lofton told us, "We just do it for the love of the game baby."
Their commissioner, Kyle Theil, set up the draft at Arrowhead because, "We wanted to have a great experience, we wanted to enjoy ourselves obviously and a lot of these guys' favorite team is the Chiefs."
