KANSAS CITY, Mo. — More than 6,200 pounds of ready-to-eat beef and chicken products distributed to Hy-Vee grocery stores across the Midwest – including Kansas and Missouri – has been recalled due to mis-branding and undeclared allergens.

The grocer is recalling seven Hy-Vee Mealtime Asian Entrees after inspectors discovered liquid egg used in the products contained milk.

Milk was not listed as an ingredient on product labels.

  • The FSIS says it has not received any reports of adverse reactions due to the products, and Hy-Vee says the products have been pulled from store shelves.

The products, in 16 and 20 ounce sizes, were produced on Sept. 7-8, 2019.
