KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 41-year-old woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning on Interstate 435 northbound in Kansas City, Missouri.
Shortly after 2 a.m., police responded to a crash at I-435 and East 87th Street, where a black Nissan Maxima heading northbound on the interstate lost control and flipped multiple times.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was not immediately released.
Police said it was unclear what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
The crash was the 77th traffic fatality in KCMO in 2020.
The interstate was shut down for several hours, reopening shortly before 4:30 a.m.
