The 33rd annual Lineman's rodeo is being held in Bonner Springs.
Hundreds of competitions, for three-person teams and individual apprentices from around the world.
Participants compete on the 300 poles set up in the area on pole climb, hurtman rescue and two mystery events.
Competitors are judged on speed, work quality and most importantly application of safety procedures.
The event is being held at the Rodeo Grounds in Bonner Springs from 7:30-4:00.
