There are new questions surrounding a domestic violence incident involving the man accused of the Hesston, Kansas, mass shootings.
Cedric Ford, who was gunned down by police during the rampage, is accused of killing three and injuring 14 other people on Thursday before he was killed.
As 41 Action News first reported on Friday, Ford was accused of domestic violence by his girlfriend Feb. 5 at the Wichita home they shared at the time.
According to a report from the Wichita police, Ford battered his girlfriend, leaving visible injuries.
The report also says a domestic violence pickup order was issued for Ford.
However, there's no record of Ford being arrested or charged in that case or spending any time in jail.
Under Kansas law, any law enforcement officer who determines there's probable cause a domestic violence crime has been committed shall "without undue delay, arrest the person."
Multiple attempts have been made by 41 Action News to get an explanation from Wichita police about why Ford was not arrested in the case. So far, there's been no response.
