KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The snow may have caused headaches for some, but it was a welcome guest Saturday to tailgaters outside Arrowhead Stadium.
"I think it's fun. It is definitely different from what we are used to, but it makes it a little more lively, makes you want to jump around and dance more and stay warm," Chiefs fan Teah Nguyen said.
Some fans even said the wintry weather made for optimal conditions.
"It's amazing. We are actually going sledding after this, so this is just kind of a nice little pregame action. Can't have a better pregame than this," tailgater Mason Morse said.
Many fans wore their favorite Chiefs jerseys, even if they had to be layered on top of many other clothes. Fans were trying to stay warm any way they could.
"We have probably 10 hand warmers, which I usually just throw inside my shoes to keep the feet warm and that's probably, hopefully enough," Chiefs fan Jacob Sullivan said. "If it's not, I'm in trouble."
The cold didn't stop fans from enjoying their tailgating traditions before the Chiefs hosted the Indianapolis Colts in an AFC divisional round playoff game.
"We got the heater over here, and then we're going to grill some food," Chiefs fan Trey Alejos said.
