A Jackson County jury found a man guilty of first degree murder in the August 2011 shooting that killed one man and injured another.
Garron T. Briggs, 29, faces life in prison with no possibility of parole in the death of Edward L. Ewing during a home invasion. Another man was also injured.
Briggs was also convicted of assault and two counts of armed criminal action.
Sentencing is set for Feb. 19. at 1:30 p.m.
A codefendant in the case faces trial in May.
