LEAWOOD, Kan. — While Hurricane Harvey wreaks havoc on parts of Texas, a Johnson County realtor is doing what she can to help rescue people who are trapped.
LaDean Bradshaw has her own reality group at Reece Nichols in Leawood, Kansas. The office is now an operation center, fully staffed with her fellow realtors. Wednesday alone, LaDean says the group helped save more than 700 people.
They use this Facebook page to find out who needs help. Once they get information from the victims, they update the live map on this site and dispatch the Cajun Navy to do a rescue.

"I start calling people, they start getting my cell phone number, and then more and more people in the thread started funneling to me for help," she said.
When she told her daughter Summer Bradshaw, she found out that she was doing the same thing. "It's pretty amazing that we're able to do this through Facebook in Kansas," Summer shared.
LaDean originally started checking Facebook pages to make sure her friends in the Houston area were safe,
"Then I realized that people were needing rescue and there were flood waters coming into people's homes."
Two other women in one group were dispatching boats for the Cajun Navy and soon, LaDean was too.
"There's people all around the country doing what we're doing," Summer said. The Facebook page they're using is already boasting over 5,000 rescues from Harvey and they're still going strong. LaDean said, "There's a whole lot of people out there doing what we couldn't be there to do and we just wanted to help."
The group is encouraging people who want to help locally to donate to the Cajun Navy.
