KANSAS CITY, Mo. — You can feel the Super Bowl excitement in many Kansas City businesses.
From cookies, to shirts, to coffee, 41 Action News is highlighting some of the most unique ideas we've seen.
There's a special new drink brewing at Parisi Coffee in Overland Park and at Union Station. Coffee lovers can sip on the Run it Back Red Mocha.
The drink, made with cordial cherry, white chocolate, espresso and milk, was created as a way to celebrate the Chiefs' return to the Super Bowl.
Quality Control Manager Aaron Duckworth said the Chiefs excitement is just what KC needs right now.
"Anything to kind of help distract us, but then also bring communities together, whether it's the Kansas City Coffee community or the Chiefs Kingdom community," Duckworth said.
The business is also selling a Run it Back coffee blend. Both the blend and red mocha drink will be sold until February 15.
At Expert Alterations in Westwood, Kansas, seamstress Ramona Nelson said the 41 Action News battle cry Road to Repeat inspired her Chiefs logos.
"Making Chiefs things, oh my gosh, I'm such a huge fan," Nelson said.
Nelson said the business can do custom orders and does everything from monogram to embroidery. Nelson said the Super Bowl hype is helping turn things around for small, struggling businesses.
"With this past year being such a negative thing, we've had something huge, positive for Kansas City, and I think that makes a world of difference," Nelson said.
Chiefs excitement also comes in the form of cookies, decorated down to the smallest detail.
Mary Harness started Kansas City Cookie Gal as a part-time gig. After a shoutout by Travis Kelce's girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, Harness said she became overwhelmed with orders. So much so that she's currently sold out of her Super Bowl pre-sale.
"It means a lot that they want to put in the effort and the money and the expenses to have my cookies there to help celebrate something," Harness said.
Harness plans to have a pop-up sale at Pink Antlers Studio in Leawood Friday, Feb. 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
"I'm going to have some extra Chiefs cookies that weren't available in my pre-sale. I'm going to make as many as I possibly can and hopefully get to as many people as I can," Harness said.
Harness said the city's support puts her one step closer to her dream of making and decorating cookies full-time.
"It makes me love Kansas City even more, it's a great city and people are so supportive," Harness said.
