KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It's Fountain Day in Kansas City!
To celebrate, the public is invited to the Delbert J. Haff Circle Fountain, located at Meyer Boulevard and Swope Parkway, at 11 a.m.
The newly renovated fountain cost $1.4 million. City of Fountains Foundation Boardmember Patrick Dunn said funds came from GO bonds, city funds and project donations.
Some people were uncertain whether the fountain would be ready in time for the celebration after a driver hit part of the small wall in front of it.
However, crews were able to fix it and it's ready for its debut on Tuesday.
