KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It's been icy. And cold. And windy.

All those conditions combined to cause problems Friday morning at the Kansas City International Airport.

The airport was closed for several hours due to the weather, and one plane even slid off a taxiway.

Canceled flights kept several Kansas City Chiefs fan in St. Louis, including the grandparents of Chiefs wide receiver, Tyreek Hill.

Hill retweeted a photo Saturday evening thanking a Chiefs fan named Dave for driving his grandparents to Kansas City.

Dakota Fearn Tweeted a photo of his father Dave Fearn, saying Hill's grandparents were worried they wouldn't make it to the AFC Championship game on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.

According to Fearn, Dave was very fond of Hill's grandparents. The Tweet read, "Pops said they were the most amazing and humble people he’s met in a long time. Considers Mrs. Virginia and Mr. Herman a lifelong friend now after the 3 hour drive they spent together. KC fans always got your back!"

Chiefs Kingdom can rest well and so can Hill knowing his family will be in the stands cheering him on.
