KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department put out a fire at a home in the 2600 block of North 22nd Street overnight.
Firefighters were called out around 2 a.m.
Firefighters told 41 Action News the man who lives there was able to get out safely because of his working smoke detectors.
He will be displaced for a while. He declined assistance from the Red Cross.
There is no word on what caused the fire.
