KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City, Missouri, man was killed in a crash in Clinton County, Missouri, Monday evening.
The crash happened on MO 116 about four miles east of Lathrop.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a GMC utility truck was traveling west when it crossed the center line of MO 116.
The driver of a Kenworth tractor trailer headed west moved partially to the shoulder to try and avoid the utility truck but was stuck on the side.
When the tractor trailer was hit, it traveled off the road and overturned several times.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected and killed.
He was identified as 44-year-old Benjamin Reed.
