KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- If you're going to the Kansas City Municipal Court on October 23 or later, you'll go to the same building, but it has a different address.
The municipal court has moved the location of its main entrance doors to the north side of the building, replacing the former entrance that faced south.
The address of the municipal courthouse has also changed. The new address is now 511 East 11th St.
Renovations to the courthouse, which was built in 1973, started in late 2016. Other improvements to the building will include better lighting, floor, and ceiling replacements as well as energy efficient upgrades to the heating and cooling system. These improvements are expected to be done by mid-2018
If you were planning on mailing in payment for a ticket you may have gotten recently you might want to double check the address on the envelope.
