A local family is joining the Kansas City police in its search for answers in the hit-and-run death of Achuil Bol.

The 24-year-old mother of three was walking along Interstate 35 northbound at Chouteau when a black 2004-2008 Nissan Altima hit her on July 17.

The vehicle is similar to the picture below. The picture below is not the actual vehicle.

Bol is the younger sister of NBA star Manute Bol. Her older sister Dot Bol said, "Growing up together was really fun because Achuil is a really good person. She has a good heart. She loves everybody."

Dot Bol wonders how Achuil Bol ended up walking along the highway after friends picked her up for a party the night before. More than anything, the Bol family wants closure.

"If somebody knows something, just come forward. We will forgive them. Just come forward and tell us what happened so she can rest in peace," Dot Bol said.

Police said the vehicle should have front-end damage, should be missing the front under carriage splash guard and one mud flap.

If you have information in regard to the vehicle and/or the investigation please call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
